| Item | Value | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| BTC price | $77,098 (Bitrue 77,098 · Binance 77,071 · Gate.io 77,026 · OKX 77,022 · Upbit ₩103,680,000) | Under 0.12% between exchanges — no arbitrage gap |
| BTC 24h | -2.14% ($78,784 → $77,098) | A mild decline |
| BTC 24h range | $76,661 ~ $79,011 (hourly closes) | Range 3.1% — about average |
| ETH price | $2,240 (24h -1.3%) | moving in step with bitcoin |
| Market breadth | 148 up · 160 down (of 308) | Gainers and losers are balanced = mixed |
| Above the long-term trendline (EMA200) | 68 coins (34%) | most sit below the trendline = the long-term trend is still weak |
| Kimchi premium (USDT basis) | +0.6% (24h range +0.22% to +1.42%) | Korea is slightly more expensive = normal domestic demand |
| Kimchi premium (BTC basis) | +0.5% (Upbit ₩103,680,000 ÷ FX 1,338.04 = $77,486 vs $77,098) | the same bitcoin, priced at home vs overseas |
| USDT/KRW | 1,346 KRW (reference rate 1,338.04 KRW) | Tether trades 0.6% more expensive than the reference rate |
| Futures funding rate (BTC) | 0.01% per 8h (same on Binance·OKX·Gate.io) | At the baseline = longs are not crowded |
| Measured $100 fill (Binance BTC/USDT) | $77,088 · 0% slippage ($100,000 also 0.007%) | fills at the quoted price — plenty of liquidity |
A funding rate at the 0.01% baseline means longs are not crowding the futures market. And a premium near zero means both sides run at a similar temperature. Gainers and losers were balanced, so it came down to the individual coin.
Biggest gainers and losers (24h)
We count only coins with at least $10M turnover listed on three or more exchanges (this keeps single-venue pumps and scam tokens out). Prices come from the largest venue by turnover; turnover from the largest spot venue.

- EVAA $1.14 (+2.03%) — spot turnover $5.7M, 9.2x a week ago
If turnover jumps while the price does not, someone large may be accumulating or exiting — check the order book on the coin page.
Kimchi premium right now
The kimchi premium (the price gap between Korean and overseas exchanges) is +0.6% — 24h average +0.75%, range +0.22% to +1.42%. Korea is slightly more expensive = normal domestic demand.
Coins with the widest gaps in our latest scan (one row per coin):
- SOPH premium — Bitget $0.002204 · Upbit $0.00238484 — 8.21% apart
- IMX premium — Poloniex $0.1192 · Upbit $0.1256 — 5.33% apart
- BLUR premium — OKX $0.009001 · Upbit $0.00943536 — 4.83% apart
Read these gaps after fees, transfer time and FX. They are not an arbitrage call — they are a thermometer for which side of the market runs hotter.
Funding-rate skew (which way futures lean)
The funding rate is a fee that passes periodically between longs and shorts in perpetual futures. Positive means longs pay shorts; the further it drifts from the 0.01% baseline, the more crowded one side is.
- BTC 0.01% per 8h (about 0.03% a day) — At the baseline = longs are not crowded
- ETH -0.0102% per 8h (about 0.03% a day) — Shorts dominate — more money is betting on a fall
- BLUR a lot of money is betting it falls — holding leverage costs about 4.71% a day (Bybit)
- HOT a lot of money is betting it falls — holding leverage costs about 4.43% a day (MEXC)
A holding cost this wide is not an income opportunity — it is a signal that one side is badly crowded. On such coins, price swings dwarf the fee.
Yesterday's main stories
1. Binance Suffers Historic $6.3 Billion Hack
On the evening of October 29, 2026 (UTC), the signing authority for Binance's wallet infrastructure was compromised, leading to the theft of approximately $6.3 billion worth of cryptocurrencies including BTC, ETH, XRP, and USDT within just 20 minutes. Blockchain analytics firms TRM Labs and Chainalysis identified the North Korea-linked hacking group TraderTraitor as the perpetrator behind the breach. Binance immediately suspended withdrawals and promised full compensation for customer losses, while issuers like Tether and Circle froze around $2.7 billion in affected assets.
The panic caused by asset freezes and the breach drove Bitcoin (BTC) down by about 4.7%, briefly dropping below the $77,000 level, and triggered over $1.5 billion in leverage liquidations.
2. Weak U.S. Tech Earnings Trigger Market-Wide Risk-Off Sell-Off
On October 30, major big-tech companies including Intel (-21.6%), Amazon (-5.7%), and Alphabet reported disappointing earnings, raising concerns over tech profits relative to high AI spending. This caused tech stocks to plummet and sent the Nasdaq futures index down by more than 2.5%.
The sharp decline in the Nasdaq heightened investor risk-off sentiment (a tendency to avoid risky assets), applying further downward pressure across the broader cryptocurrency market, including Bitcoin and Ethereum.
3. Bitcoin eCash Hard Fork Scheduled for Drivechain Implementation
On October 31, an eCash (ECX) hard fork (a permanent split in a blockchain network) is scheduled at approximately block height 973,728 to implement Drivechain (BIP-300/301) on the Bitcoin network. The original Bitcoin chain rules will remain unchanged, and major domestic and international exchanges announced they will maintain normal trading support while keeping additional airdrop support undecided.
This technical update introduces new functionalities to the ecosystem without altering the underlying rules of the original Bitcoin network.
